Oral paper guidelines (Resident category):
  • Registration for the conference is mandatory.
  • The topic should be related to oncoimaging and oncointerventions only.
  • An abstract which has been previously published/presented cannot be submitted.
  • Abstracts considered for the oral paper must be original research.
  • To start the abstract, include the name of the presenting author first, followed by up to five co-authors, and finally, the name of the institution.
  • The abstract should be structured using the following subheadings: Title, introduction, aims and objectives, materials and methods, results and conclusion.
  • The abstract should be written in English and must not exceed 250 words.
  • Submissions that are not in the prescribed format will not be entertained.
  • Before submitting, make sure to complete all necessary changes, corrections, and proofreading.
  • All abstracts must be submitted online. Abstracts sent through email, post, or any other means will not be considered. The submitting (corresponding) author will receive all notifications regarding the abstract.
  • No abstract contents and authorship changes will be allowed after the final submission.
  • If you wish to withdraw your abstract after the final date, you must inform us through email at paperposter.soiicon25@gmail.com
  • The educational committee will review all abstracts based on their scientific value, potential clinical value, and originality. The authors and institution details will be concealed for evaluation purposes. The committee's decision on the acceptance of the abstract is final.
  • Authors of selected oral presentations will have the opportunity to present their work in the main conference hall between conference sessions.
  • Authors of the rest of the oral presentations will have the opportunity to present as proffered paper in a separate hall.
  • The papers not accepted for oral presentation may be converted to scientific e-posters.

E -poster guidelines:

  • Research studies, case reports/ series, pictorial essays and audits can be submitted for consideration as e-poster.
  • An abstract which has been previously published / presented cannot be submitted.
  • To start the abstract, include the name of the presenting author first, followed by up to five co-authors, and finally, the name of the institution.
  • Abstract should be structured as following:
    • Research studies:
    • Title, introduction, aims and objectives, materials and methods, results and conclusion.
    • Case reports/ series/ pictorial essays:
    • Title, introduction, imaging findings, discussion and conclusion.
  • The abstract should be written in English and must not exceed 250 words.
  • Submissions that are not in the prescribed format will not be entertained.
  • Before submitting, make sure to complete all necessary changes, corrections, and proofreading.

Submission Deadline:
  • Abstract submission deadline will be 30th of June 2025.
  • Late submissions will not be considered for review. The deadline will not be extended.
Review process:
  • All abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process by a panel of experts.
  • Papers/ posters will be evaluated under the following categories - Head and neck, Thorax, GIT, GUT, Gynaec, HPB, Others.
  • Criteria for evaluation will include scientific merit, relevance, clarity, and originality.
Notification:
  • Authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection by 15th of July 2025.
  • The oral presentations should be on powerpoint and be for 6 minutes duration with 2 minutes for questions and discussion.
  • Educational posters must be in electronic format and will be displayed on a digital screen in the conference venue.
